Born into a military family, Nicole's childhood consisted of continuous traveling around the United States and exposure to diverse environments and cultures. Her conceptual work tells hidden stories that is heavily influenced by the diversity and cultures she was exposed to at a young age.
Nicole Love earned both her Masters in Teaching in K-12 Art Education and a Bachelors of Arts in Fine Arts and a minor in theatre at Winthrop University. She is currently teaching kindergarten through fifth grade art at Jackson Creek Elementary school in Columbia, South Carolina.
"I am horrible at putting my thoughts into words. In my head it all makes sense, but my mouth refuses to find the right words to say out loud. I stumble and get frustrated. But through art I am able to express myself far better then words could. So ninety-nine percent of the time my work has a personal narrative. Each little detail is conceptual and is deeply meaningful."
